KOMBINASI BERBAGAI LEVEL HIJAUAN RAWA TERHADAP KUALITAS FISIK SILASE
Forages are the main feed source for ruminant livestock, but their availability often fluctuates due to seasonal changes, therefore preservation technology such as silage through anaerobic fermentation is needed. Wetland forages such as copper kumpai grass, oil kumpai grass, are bolong grass, and kemon water have potential as local feed, but they need to be combined in appropriate proportions to produce silage with good physical quality. This study aimed to determine the combination of various levels of wetland forages on the physical quality of silage. The research was conducted from September to October 2025 at the Ruminant Experimental Barn and Feed Nutrition Laboratory, Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sriwijaya. The study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments consisted of A (60% copper kumpai grass + 25% are bolong grass + 15% kemon water), B (75% copper kumpai grass + 15% are bolong grass + 10% kemon water), C (60% oil kumpai grass + 25% are bolong grass + 15% kemon water), and D (75% oil kumpai grass + 15% are bolong grass + 10% kemon water). The fermentation process was carried out for 21 days with the addition of 1.05% EM4 and 5% rice bran. The physical quality assessment was conducted using an organoleptic scoring method with a scale of 1–5. Data were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis test and continued with the Dunn test with Bonferroni correction at a 5% significance level. The results showed that the treatments had a significant effect (P
