PEMETAAN DAERAH RAWAN BANJIR DENGAN SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFIS (SIG) DI KECAMATAN TALANG KELAPA, KABUPATEN BANYUASIN, SUMATERA SELATAN
Flooding is a common natural disaster in low-lying areas, causing significant harm to communities and the environment. The Talang Kelapa District in Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra, is highly prone to flooding due to its relatively flat topography, high rainfall, and land-use changes dominated by residential development. These conditions have led to an increased risk of waterlogging and flooding in several areas. This study aims to map flood potential in Talang Kelapa District in Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra, using a Geographic Information System (GIS). The method employed is spatial analysis using overlay techniques applied to parameters such as rainfall, land use, slope gradient, distance from rivers, and soil type, each of which has been assigned weights and scores based on their level of influence on flooding. Mapping results indicated that 0,7% of the area has low flood potential, 46,6% has medium potential, and 52,7% has high potential. Keywords: Mapping, Flooding, Scoring, Geographic Information System (GIS).
