AKTIVITAS ANTIKANKER EKSTRAK ALBUMIN IKAN GABUS YANG DITAMBAHKAN DAUN SALAM DAN DAUN KEMANGI TERHADAP SEL KANKER PAYUDARA (MCF-7)
Albumin can be found in freshwater fish, one of which is the snakehead fish (Chana striata). Albumin has many health benefits such as anti-hypertensive effects, anti-hypoalbuminemia and so on. This study aims to determine the anticancer activity of snakehead fish albumin extract with the addition of basil leaves, bay leaves, the addition of basil leaves and bay leaves, and without additional treatment. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 levels of treatment with 3 replications. The treatment used different additions of leaves to the snakehead fish albumin extract, namely control (A0), bay leaves (A1), basil leaves (A2) and the addition of bay leaves and basil leaves (A3). The parameters observed were analysis of protein levels, albumin levels, and anticancer activity of breast cancer cells (MCF-7). The results of the protein content analysis showed a significant effect of treatment on protein levels, with an average of 10.87% in treatment A0, 15.20% in A1, 12.03% in A2, and 18.24% in A3. The results of the albumin content analysis showed that treatments A0, A1, A2, and A3 had no significant effect, with an average of 2.29% in A0, 2.61% in A1, 2.37% in A2, and 2.47% in A3. The results of the anticancer activity test on breast cancer cells (MCF-7) showed the highest IC50 value in treatment A0 at 529 ppm. However, this value is not yet sufficiently active as an anticancer agent. An extract can be considered active if the IC50 value is
