The development of online games, particularly PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile, presents complex virtual communication dynamics and opens up space for the emergence of toxic behavior among players. This study aims to analyze the influence of playing intensity and emotional involvement on the toxic behavior of PUBG Mobile players in Palembang City. The study used a quantitative approach with a causal associative method through an explanatory survey design. A sample of 100 respondents was determined using the Cochran formula with a purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS Statistics application version 25. The results showed that the variables of playing intensity and emotional involvement contributed 66.4% of the influence, while the remainder was influenced by other factors outside the research model. The conclusion of this study is that the higher the playing intensity and the stronger the emotional involvement of players, the greater the emergence of toxic behavior in the game.
