HUBUNGAN PROSES PEMBELAJARAN PENGELASAN TERHADAP MINAT DAN HASIL PRAKTIKUM PENGELASAN MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN TEKNIK MESIN
This study aims to analyze the relationship between the welding learning process and students’ learning interest and practical outcomes in Mechanical Engineering Education. The background of this study is based on the suboptimal level of students’ learning interest and practical results, which are presumed to be influenced by the learning process and other supporting factors. An effective learning process is expected to enhance students’ interest and practical skills. This research employs a quantitative approach with acorrelational design. The subjects are students who have completed the welding course, particularly Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). The independent variable is the learning process, while the dependent variables are learning interest and practical outcomes. Learning interest is measured through attention, motivation, and participation, whereas practical outcomes are assessed based on students’ technical welding skills. The results are expected to indicate a significant relationship between the learning process and students’ learning interest and practical outcomes, as well as contribute to improving the quality of welding practicum learning.
