This research was aimed identifying the production effiency in the making of wood ships. It used the primary data obtained from direct observations of wood ship builders in Palembang, and was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The production frontier model was applied in this research. The research results show that production efficiency was not achieved in terms of prices and technology
