ANALISIS TINGKAT KECUKUPAN GULA,GARAM DAN LEMAK PADA ANAK SEKOLAH DASAR DI KECAMATAN PRABUMULIH BARAT KOTA PRABUMULIH
Excessive sugar, salt, and fat (GGL) intake in elementary school children has the potential to increase the risk of nutritional problems and non-communicable diseases later in life. Consumption patterns influenced by snacking habits and processed food consumption are among the main factors contributing to high GGL intake. This study aims to determine the adequacy of sugar, salt, and fat intake from packaged foods among elementary school children in West Prabumulih District. This study used a quantitative descriptive design with 107 elementary school students selected by purposive sampling. Intake data were obtained through 24-hour food recall interviews and analyzed univariately. The results showed that the average sugar intake was 25.38 grams per day, salt intake 2,11 grams per day, and fat intake 14.80 grams per day. Most students had sugar intakes exceeding the recommended limit (63.1%). The majority of students had salt intakes exceeding the recommended limit, both male and female students. Fat intake showed that 53% of children exceeded the recommended limit. Foods that contribute to high GGL intake include packaged sugary drinks, instant noodles, packaged snacks, and fast food. Future research is recommended to examine the relationship between sugar, salt, and fat intake and other health indicators, and to use consumption studies spanning more than one day to obtain a more in-depth picture of intake patterns.
